Overview

The Luminous Zelio+ 1100 has been India's top-selling home inverter for several years running — and for good reason. At the ₹5,500–6,500 price point (inverter only, battery separate), it delivers pure sine wave output, reliable performance and access to Luminous' unmatched 2,000+ service centre network.

This is a 900 VA / 756 W unit, meaning it can comfortably handle a typical 2BHK load: 3–4 fans, 6–8 LED lights, a television and basic charging points simultaneously.

Performance in Real Homes

In real-world Indian conditions — voltage fluctuations, summer heat, dusty environments — the Zelio+ performs consistently. The DSP-based circuit handles grid voltage between 100V–290V, which covers even the worst supply areas in UP, Bihar and Rajasthan.

Charging is intelligent: the inverter reduces charging current during partial charges to extend battery life. With a 150Ah tubular battery, most homes get 4–6 hours of backup on a typical evening load.

Battery Compatibility

The Zelio+ works with all standard 12V batteries — flat plate, tubular and gel variants. Luminous recommends pairing it with their own RC or TT series tubular batteries, but it works just as well with Exide, Amaron and Okaya.

Important: It does not natively support lithium batteries without an external BMS adapter.

Who's It Really For?

A dealer buying in bulk for residential projects will find this the easiest sell — the Luminous brand name closes itself, parts are available everywhere and callbacks are rare. For the end customer, it's the "Toyota Innova" of inverters: not glamorous, but dependable for years.
